What is this test

A quick and painless test that records the electrical activity of your heart.

When is it needed

Some indications are chest pain, radiating pain, palpitations, breathlessness, fatigue, rapid pulse, or as part of a routine health check-up etc.

How is it done

It is a very quick test. Leads are connected to the body with the help of sticky patches/ vacuum suction plugs while the patient is lying on a bed. It just takes 1-2 mins for the test and there is no pain.

Any preparation required

No special preparation. Avoid oily skin creams on the day of the test so electrodes stick easily.
